90 days in Schengen planner is an accurate and user-friendly Schengen short stay visa calculator app, for visitors to Europe who have the appropriate multiple entry short stay visa to tour within the Schengen area for up to 90 days in any 180 day period, or who are from states whose citizens can stay in the Schengen area for up to 90 days in any 180 without having to get a visa.

Keep track of your 90 day allowance when you travel to Europe, and see how you could change the length of any of your planned trips to get the maximum time in the Schengen area.

The app makes planning simple by showing when previous trips expire and for how many days you could still stay after each planned trip. You can adjust trip lengths, and add or insert trips in any order. You can switch between scrolling through the calendar and typing in dates for the Android version, or using the date wheel for iOS, so you can easily add the tour of Europe which you're planning for 3 years time!

You can stay for longer than you might think because the 180 day window keeps rolling on. For instance, in the screenshot shown, the first trip is 58 days long, but by the end of the second trip on 8 November 2023, the count is 41 because the 180 day reference period which ends on 8 November starts on 13 May, so the previous trip days from 18 April up to 12 May no longer count towards the total.

So the count on 8 November 2023 is 33 days for the first trip and 8 days for the second trip (remember the arriving and leaving day both count, so that week in November counts as 8 days), making 41.

On 8 November 2023 the count is 41, but the app shows that you can stay for another 82 days before 29 April 2024. This happens because the first part of the previous trip is more than 179 days before the end of the planned trip, so each day you add to the end of the planned trip makes another day of the previous trip more than 179 days before the end of the planned trip.

Confusing? That's why you need an app you can trust to work it out for you!

The app has been tested rigorously.  The app developer made the video below in response to a query about how she could be sure that the app would still give the correct figures when the device moved between different time zones:

Note: The "90 days per period of 180 days" rule applies to citizens of certain countries outside the EU. Other countries may have no such agreement, or may have other agreements with the EU which are more or less favourable than this rule. Naturally, the app is only a calculator and cannot tell which rules apply to you, and cannot be held liable for any decisions made by officials such as border control personnel!

Please consult the official EU information to determine your Schengen visa requirements.
